Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, spoke again about his personal intervention to lift the suspension of Folarin Balogun, the striker of Uncle Sam's national team, before the round of 16 match of the World Cup against Belgium.

Balogun had been sent off during America's match against Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the round of 32 of the World Cup tournament, but "FIFA" unexpectedly lifted the player's suspension, allowing the young striker to participate against Belgium, where America lost that match 4-1 and bid farewell to the World Cup.

There was major criticism of FIFA President Gianni Infantino regarding this decision, while Trump stated hours before the America-Belgium match that he had personally spoken to Infantino to have the latter lift Balogun's suspension.

Trump confirmed in statements reported by the newspaper "AS" that he did not impose on Infantino to lift Balogun's suspension, saying: "All I did was request a review of the decision, I did not tell him you have to do this, Infantino is a smart and strong man".

Trump praised the performance of the Argentine star, Lionel Messi, against England in the World Cup semi-final, where the 39-year-old provided two decisive passes in the Tango's 2-1 victory and their qualification to the final to face Spain tomorrow, Sunday.

Trump added, commenting on Argentina's second goal created by Messi and scored by Lautaro Martínez: "I watched that pass Messi made, even though I don't know much about sports, and I know little about soccer, but I watched Messi, and he was well marked by the England players, isn't that right?''

He explained: ''Then suddenly, he found himself standing on the right side, do you understand what I mean? I don't know if anyone noticed that, I just noticed it, no one talked about it, I just noticed it, I said he was well marked by a good player, then he moved to the right, and the other England player was standing there''.

Trump continued in his talk about Messi: "He had plenty of time, passed the ball, and the pass was perfect, as that was near the end of the match, he was wonderful and he is a wonderful person''.

Trump also wished that America would host the 2038 World Cup edition, saying: "The United States should host another World Cup, but without Mexico or Canada, there is talk of hosting it with another partner, alongside Gianni, I joked about hosting it with China''.

Infantino then praised Trump in a related context, continuing: "This World Cup would not have had this tremendous success without you, it is the greatest social and cultural event humanity has ever witnessed''.

Trump announced that he will be present at the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina tomorrow, Sunday, adding: "I said are you serious? We are not a soccer country, it turned out that we were, and I think we will remain so''.

Trump criticized the tactics of England national team coach Thomas Tuchel during the World Cup semi-final against Argentina, concluding: "Kane was great, I think they may have made a mistake when they turned him into a defender, they took their best player and put him in defense, that was a bit strange''.
