Volleyball: Egypt tops its group in the Women's African Nations Championship

The Egyptian women's volleyball national team continued its strong performance in the African Nations Cup, securing its third consecutive victory by defeating Uganda in three straight sets. The tournament is being held in Kenya from August 23 to September 3, 2026, with the participation of 16 teams.

The Egyptian victory was comfortable, as the team asserted its dominance from the outset, winning the first set 25-14, before delivering a strong performance in the second set to close it out by a wide margin of 25-9.

The national team maintained its superiority in the third set, which it won 25-16, achieving another victory without dropping a single set in the group stage.

This marks the third win for the Egyptian women's team in the tournament, following previous 3-0 victories over Burkina Faso and Senegal. With a perfect record, the team has secured first place in Group Two and advanced to the next round, awaiting the identification of its next opponent.
