The Egyptian national basketball team, led by Spanish coach Augusti Bosch, begins its campaign in the fourth window of the African qualifiers for the 2027 World Cup with a match against Senegal tonight, Thursday.
The Senegalese capital, Dakar, is hosting the fourth window from August 27 to 30. The Egypt-Senegal match will kick off at 9:30 PM Cairo time at the Dakar Arena.
Egypt is in a group that includes Angola, Mali, DR Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, and Senegal, with matches played on a home-and-away basis.
The group winner and runner-up, along with the best third-placed team, will qualify for the 2027 World Cup finals.
Egypt enters the fourth window with 9 points collected in the previous stage, placing them fifth in the group standings, as they seek positive results in upcoming matches to boost their qualification chances.
