French and Italian press reports revealed that Frenchman Theo Hernandez, the left-back for Saudi club Al-Hilal, wishes to return to European pitches after only one year since his transfer to the Saudi league.
According to Foot Mercato, Hernandez, who is under contract with Al-Hilal until summer 2028, does not consider his experience in Saudi Arabia a final stop, as he seeks to regain his place at the highest levels of European competition, especially after participating with the France national team in the 2026 World Cup.
The player had previously stated to the Spanish newspaper Marca: "I hope to return to Europe one day. I signed a three-year contract with Al-Hilal and I am happy, but I do not know what will happen in the future, and I hope to return to playing in Europe."
Theo offers himself to Juventus and Al-Hilal welcomes
The report added that Italian club Juventus is studying the possibility of signing the 29-year-old, after the player offered his services to the club's management, benefiting from his strong relationship with sporting director Ricky Massara, who played a prominent role in his transfer to Milan in 2019.
The report indicated that Al-Hilal's management does not object to discussing the player's departure if a suitable offer arrives, and may even agree to his exit on loan if the appropriate conditions are met.
Interest was not limited to Juventus; reports clarified that Napoli is monitoring the situation, while Atletico Madrid's name is also linked to the possibility of signing the player in the coming period.
Theo Hernandez is considered one of Europe's top full-backs in recent years, having scored 31 goals and provided 27 assists in 195 matches for Milan in the Italian league, though his high salary may represent the biggest obstacle to completing his transfer to Juventus, which adheres to a specific salary cap.
