Saudi reports confirmed that the file regarding Frenchman Karim Benzema's departure from the ranks of Saudi Al-Hilal has become complicated, after his refusal to leave the club during the ongoing summer transfer window.
A source revealed to "Al-Riyadiya" newspaper that Al-Hilal club management suggested Karim Benzema move to one of the clubs promoted to the Saudi Professional League during the current transfer period, but the player categorically rejected the idea.

The source explained that Karim Benzema stipulated receiving all his financial dues for the final year of his contract, granting him the freedom to choose his next destination without interference from Al-Hilal's management.
It is noted that Benzema played 13 matches with Al-Hilal across various competitions since joining Al-Hilal Saudi Club, scoring nine goals, including two hat-tricks, and providing five assists before facing fan backlash due to his declining offensive form last season.
