The Brazilian Football Confederation has settled its position regarding keeping the Italian Carlo Ancelotti in his post as technical director of the national team.
The Brazilian national team bid farewell to the 2026 World Cup in the round of 16, losing to Norway 1-2, failing once again to claim the title absent from its coffers since 2002.
The Brazilian Federation had renewed Ancelotti's contract weeks ago to lead the "Seleção" until the 2030 World Cup finals, yet the exit from this year's edition of the Mundial raised doubts about his future.
However, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Ancelotti and the Brazilian Football Confederation agreed to honor the contract and continue their cooperation.
The transfer news specialist indicated that Ancelotti will lead the rebuilding of the Brazilian national team in preparation for the 2030 World Cup, and before that the 2028 Copa América.
