The Athletic has revealed the latest developments regarding Atlético Madrid's stance on selling striker Julián Álvarez during the summer transfer window.

Julián Álvarez came on as a substitute in Atlético's match against Villarreal on Sunday, entering in the 66th minute for the first time since the start of the season.
Álvarez missed the first round due to the player's future with the team remaining undecided.
The network clarified that Atlético Madrid has decided to consider any offer worth 150 million euros to sell the player.
The Athletic quoted a source inside Atlético Madrid: "Real Madrid's offer was not serious, and the club will not sell its player to rivals Real Madrid or Barcelona."
The source added: "Atlético Madrid would not object to agreeing to his transfer to Arsenal, provided an offer of 150 million euros is presented."
The network noted, however, that it is unlikely Arsenal will offer such a huge sum to sign Álvarez.
It concluded: "Despite Arsenal's admiration for Álvarez, the club is unsure of the player's desire to move to England, after contacting the player's agents last week."
Atlético Madrid drew 2-2 with Villarreal in the second round of the Spanish league.
The player has been linked with a move to Barcelona in the current transfer market, and the player reportedly does not want to continue his contract with Atlético Madrid.
Atlético Madrid's management rejected the player's request, confirming that he is bound by a contract with the team until 2030.
