Jakub Marish, the sports director of Czech Slavia Prague, revealed the reasons that prompted his club to sign Ismaili player Ibrahim Al-Najawi, noting that he had been monitored for a long time.
On Tuesday evening, Czech club Slavia Prague officially announced the signing of 17-year-old Ibrahim Al-Najawi, who will join the reserve team in the coming period.
Jakub Marish said in official statements: "We started following Ibrahim since the Africa Cup of Nations under-17 tournament last year, when he first caught our attention, and after that we continued to monitor him in the Egyptian league, then during his participation in the under-17 World Cup."
He added: "He is a player who fits perfectly with our long-term project, as he possesses great speed, distinctive physical abilities, excels in aerial duels, and has excellent movement on the pitch."
He continued: "In addition, Al-Najawi can deliver accurate crosses even while running at high speeds, which embodies all the qualities of a modern winger."
He added: "He can play as a winger or as an attacking full-back, and we believe he will gradually adapt to our style, whether through the reserve team or by getting opportunities with the under-20 team."
He continued: "We want to work with him patiently and develop his potential, and we believe he will be among the group of talented young players who will shape the future of our club."
The sports director touched on the details of the deal, saying: "I am pleased that his transfer has been successfully completed, as it was one of the most complex deals we have concluded at this age group level."
