Shawky Gharib, the technical director of the Football Association, met with Wael Riad, head coach of the U-20 national team, at the association's headquarters in 6th of October City.
The Football Association revealed via its official website the details of the meeting, which focused on discussing the program and preparation plan for the national team during the upcoming phase.
The youth national team is preparing to compete in the North African qualifiers, scheduled for next September, which serve as a pathway to the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
The youth national team will hold a closed training camp at the National Teams Center in 6th of October City from July 1 to 9.
The top four teams in the Africa Cup of Nations will qualify for the Youth World Cup.
Earlier this month, the national team played two friendly matches against Jordan, winning both with scores of 3-0 and 2-0.
During their June training camp, the youth national team played two friendly matches against their Russian counterparts, winning the first 3-1 before losing the second 5-2.
Last month, the youth national team also played two friendly matches against Oman, securing victory in both.
