Egyptian star Hamza Abdel Karim joined the training session for players excluded from Barcelona's match against Elche in the Spanish League.
Abdel Karim appeared during training alongside several players who either had limited involvement or did not participate at all in the Elche match, led by Rodri, along with Jordan and other team members.
Rodri, Barcelona's most prominent summer signing so far, is preparing to make his debut wearing the Catalan club's jersey, after training individually last week due to limited fitness following his participation in the World Cup and undergoing minor back surgery.
Rodri rejoined group training today, Monday, as announced by Flick, Barcelona's head coach, during the press conference preceding the Elche match.
The Spanish midfielder trained with players who had limited playing time or did not feature in the last match, while the starters against Elche underwent recovery sessions.
Rodri aims to make his debut against Bilbao
Rodri began his preparations with the group, targeting next Thursday's match, which could witness his first appearance in a Barcelona jersey, coinciding with the encounter against Athletic Bilbao at Camp Nou in the second round fixture.
Gavi also did not participate in the Elche match despite being part of the starting lineup; Pedri was forced to substitute him during the second half after the midfielder sustained a right knee injury following a strong challenge from one of Elche's players.
