The Jordanian Football Federation introduced the new coach of the national team, Moroccan Badou Zaki, who replaces his compatriot Jamal Sellami.
Sellami left the Jordanian national team after their historic participation in the World Cup for the first time.
Speaking at his introduction press conference, Badou Zaki said: "The door of the Jordanian national team is open to everyone, especially professional players abroad, but according to criteria related to level, readiness, and willingness as well."
He added, "If they are ready and will provide a better addition than the players in the local leagues, they are welcome."
He concluded, "I am aware that the ambitions of the Jordanian public and the Federation are high, but I do not want to make big promises, because achievements are not realized in press conferences."
Zaki is the third Moroccan in a row to take charge of the Jordanian team, following Hussein Amouta, the current Al-Ahly coach, and Jamal Sellami.
Zaki previously coached the Moroccan national team and led them to the runner-up position in the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations after losing to Tunisia in the final.
