Swiss Johan Manzambi is close to joining English Aston Villa during the summer transfer window.

Manzambi excelled with the Swiss national team at the World Cup, after scoring 3 goals and assisting 2, leading his country to the quarter-finals.
Fabrizio Romano, the Sky Sports journalist, stated via his X account that Manzambi's joining Aston Villa is imminent.
He explained, "A verbal agreement has been reached for the transfer of Freiburg's striker to Aston Villa for 60 million euros with a long-term contract."
The Swiss striker also reached a verbal agreement with Aston Villa regarding the player's personal terms.
The 20-year-old Manzambi plays with Freiburg's first team in the summer of 2024.
Manzambi transferred to Freiburg from Swiss Servette in January 2023, excelling within the German club's youth ranks before being promoted to the reserves, then the first team.
Freiburg's striker excelled last season by scoring 7 goals and providing 9 assists in 47 matches he played across all competitions.
He led his team to the Europa League final before losing to Aston Villa in the final by a clean 3-0 score.
The Swiss national team exited the World Cup in the quarter-finals after losing 3-1 to Argentina.
Manzambi did not participate in Switzerland's matches against Colombia and Argentina due to injury.
