Fabrizio Romano, the transfer news specialist journalist, revealed that Chelsea has reached an agreement with the French principality club to sign the young midfielder.
The deal is worth 55 million euros.
This move comes to compensate for the departure of Enzo Fernández, who will join Manchester City.
The Senegalese player is currently undergoing a medical examination ahead of the official announcement of the deal.
Chelsea turned to signing Lamine Camara after failing to secure Manu Koné, the midfielder of Italian club Roma and the French national team.
