Argentine Paulo Dybala, Roma's Italian player, is close to extending his contract with the capital club, according to media reports.
Dybala (33 years old) joined Roma in 2022 coming from Juventus, with whom he spent 7 years, and doubts have recently emerged about his future, especially after his contract ended in June.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who specializes in transfer news, stated that Dybala has agreed to all the terms of extending his contract with Roma.
The Argentine star agreed to a significant salary reduction in exchange for signing a one-year contract until 2027, which includes performance-related bonuses and a unilateral option to extend the contract for an additional 12 months.
Despite Boca Juniors' interest in signing him for free, Dybala decided to stay with Roma to participate in the Champions League next season.
Coach Gian Piero Gasperini played a pivotal role in renewing the contract, as he considers Dybala a key pillar in his project.
