In statements made by the Manchester City midfielder to the media in the American city of Dallas before the match against France, he said: "I think Lamine needs to calm his anxiety a little."

The 30-year-old continued: "That anxiety that sometimes afflicts Lamine because of his urgent desire to prove himself; he is a very important player for us, whether with the ball or without it."

Rodri, who is 11 years older than the Barcelona winger, added: "Yamal is a very smart young man, and although he is still nineteen years old, we often have to calm him down during some periods of the matches."

The midfielder star confirmed at the conclusion of his statements: "Football runs in Lamine's veins, and the matter is only about finding the right moment to make the decision, and we hope that he will make a difference against the Roosters."

The Spanish national team, led by technical director Luis de la Fuente, looks forward to overcoming the obstacle of France and securing a ticket to the World Cup final for the second time in Spain's history.
