Trabzonspor club announced that it has reached an agreement with Fabinho to sign him for two seasons on a free transfer.

The Brazilian international player arrived in Turkey on Monday morning in preparation for signing contracts with the club, which includes his former Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah.
Fabinho said in statements carried by beIN Sports network: "Playing with Salah again is a very special feeling. Besides being a great player, and perhaps more importantly, he is also a wonderful person."
He added, "We played together for 5 years. Despite everything we achieved, he still strives hard to be the best and gives his all for the team."
The Turkish club published footage of the player's journey to Turkey while wearing the Trabzonspor jersey.
According to the Turkish A Spor network, the Turkish club began its official negotiations with Fabinho and reached a preliminary agreement with the Brazilian midfielder in preparation for finalizing the deal.
Fabinho became a free agent after ending his stint with Al-Ittihad, having played 44 matches across all competitions last season, totaling 3,906 minutes, during which he scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists.
The 32-year-old player participated with the Brazil national team in the 2026 World Cup, playing 3 matches during the tournament.
If the deal is finalized, Fabinho will return to play alongside Mohamed Salah, having previously been teammates at Liverpool.
Trabzonspor continues to strengthen its squad in preparation for resuming the new season's competitions, after completing the Mohamed Salah deal and aiming to compete for local and continental titles.
