Trabzonspor is expected to officially announce the completion of the transfer of Brazilian Fabinho, former Al-Ittihad player, on a free transfer during the summer transfer window.

The Brazilian international arrived in Turkey on Monday morning in preparation for signing contracts with the club, which includes his former Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah.

According to the Turkish network A Spor, the Turkish club began official negotiations with Fabinho and reached a preliminary agreement with the Brazilian midfielder in preparation for completing the deal.
Fabinho became a free agent after the end of his stint with Al-Ittihad, having played 44 matches in all competitions last season, totaling 3,906 minutes, during which he scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists.
The 32-year-old player represented the Brazilian national team at the 2026 World Cup, playing 3 matches during the tournament.
If the deal is completed, Fabinho will return to playing alongside Mohamed Salah, after the two previously shared a team at Liverpool.
Trabzonspor continues to strengthen its squad in preparation for the remainder of the new season, following the completion of the Mohamed Salah transfer and its pursuit of competing for local and continental titles.
