The Polish club Pogon is targeting signing Omar Fayed, defender of the Turkish club Fenerbahce, during the current summer transfer window.
Omar Fayed has returned to Fenerbahce after the end of his loan with Portuguese side Arouca last season.
According to the Polish Gol website, Pogon wants to sign Omar Fayed to bolster its defense ahead of the new season.
The report stated that negotiations are ongoing between Pogon and Fenerbahce to complete the deal for Omar Fayed.
Pogon's interest in signing Omar Fayed came after failing to agree deals for Ibrahima Bakary and Alfie Dorrington.
For its part, Fenerbahce is open to Omar Fayed's departure, as it wants the Egyptian player to gain experience.
Omar Fayed has not played any matches for Fenerbahce since joining the club from Al-Mokaweloun Al-Arab.
Fayed joined Fenerbahce in August 2023 but has mostly been loaned out to teams such as Novi Pazar in Serbia, Beerschot in Belgium, and Arouca in Portugal.
He spent last season in the Portuguese league, where he featured in only 10 matches.
