Alejandro Dominguez, president of the South American Football Confederation, revealed an increase in the number of World Cup teams starting from the next edition.
Dominguez wrote on his official Twitter account: "The next match in the World Cup will be on our land in South America, and it is a great opportunity to celebrate the centenary of the World Cup in a tournament that includes 64 teams".
The 2030 World Cup will be held in Spain, Portugal and Morocco, with one match held in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.
The International Football Association raised the number of World Cup teams to 48 starting from the America World Cup.
This is after the World Cup was held for many years with the participation of 32 teams.
