An Argentine report revealed that Real Madrid player Franco Mastantuono is close to joining English side Fulham during the summer transfer window.

The Argentine website elintransigente reported that Fulham’s new coach Álvaro Arbeloa has set his sights on the young Argentine player.
Arbeloa took charge of Fulham succeeding Marco Silva, who moved to coach Portuguese side Benfica.
Arbeloa made his former Real Madrid player a priority target ahead of the new Premier League season.
The new 2026-2027 Premier League season kicks off on Friday, 21 August.
Real Madrid coach José Mourinho granted Mastantuono temporary permission to leave the club.
Mastantuono was not included in Argentina’s final World Cup squad.
Mastantuono scored two goals in 18 matches under Arbeloa last season.
The Argentine star joined Real Madrid last season from River Plate for £53 million.
Arbeloa is seeking a replacement for Harry Wilson, who refused to extend his contract and joined Leeds United on a free transfer.
Mexican striker Raúl Jiménez also departed, while Nigerian forward Samuel Chukwueze returned to Italian club Milan at the end of his loan spell.
Mastantuono would not be the only signing from Real Madrid, as Arbeloa also wants to attract several young players such as Thiago Pitarch, César Palacios, Manuel Ángel and Jorge Cisteró.
Arbeloa coached the quartet while in charge of Real Madrid’s reserve and first teams.
Fulham finished last season in 11th place with 52 points in the Premier League table.
