Ashour signed a new four-season contract with Al-Ahly, extending until 2030.
Al-Ahly stated that Ashour signed the new contract during a meeting with Essam Siraj El-Din, the club's contracts director, in coordination with Wael Gomaa, the football director.
Ashour's previous contract with Al-Ahly was set to expire at the end of next season.
The 28-year-old joined Al-Ahly in 2023 from Danish club Midtjylland.
To date, Imam Ashour has participated in 105 matches for Al-Ahly, scoring 32 goals and providing 25 assists.
With Al-Ahly, Ashour won the Egyptian Premier League twice, the Egyptian Super Cup twice, the Egypt Cup once, the CAF Champions League once, and the Afro-Asian-Pacific Cup.
Ashour did not participate in Al-Ahly's first league match against Sharqia Enppi due to lack of fitness.
Ashour sustained an injury during Egypt's match against Argentina in the Round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Earlier, Al-Ahly had announced its refusal to sell Imam Ashour during the current summer transfer window after receiving an offer from Turkish club Konyaspor.
Al-Ahly is preparing to face ZED FC next Friday in the second round of the Egyptian Premier League.
