Mohamed Nagy Jedo, the assistant coach within the technical staff of the Pyramids team led by Rolani Mokwena, revealed the truth about dispensing with Ramadan Sobhi, the player of Al-Samawi, during the current period.
Jedo said in statements via "MBC Masr" channel: "We have not dispensed with Ramadan Sobhi, but his issue has not been resolved yet. God willing, if it is resolved, he will be present with us in the training sessions".
He added: "There is absolutely no truth to what is being circulated regarding Pyramids dispensing with Ramadan. We have filed an appeal before the Swiss Federal Court, awaiting its acceptance, and once that happens, the player will resume training".
When asked about a replacement for Fiston Mayele at Pyramids, Jedo said: "So far, we are searching for his replacement, but we have a distinguished group of strikers. We have Mustafa Zico, the return of Al-Fakhouri, and Marwan Hamdi, and we are capable of compensating for Mayele's departure".
He stressed: "Certainly, Mayele was an influential player who made history for himself and the club, and scored in all the final and decisive matches. But in the end, this is football; no player stays at a club forever. He prefers to try another experience, and there is no problem with that. We are capable of compensating for him".
When asked whether Pyramids feels concerned about Al-Ahly's new signings, Jedo replied: "Not at all. On the contrary, we only look at ourselves, and I see that we do not need many signings".
He concluded: "We have good players; no one has left except Mayele, but the rest of the team continues, and they are the ones who achieved the previous accomplishments. God willing, in the new season we will be able to achieve our ambitions in it".
