The Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiya stated that the management of Al-Ittihad Club submitted an offer amounting to 6 million dollars to purchase Imam Ashour's contract, the midfielder of Al Ahly's first football team, according to what a source close to Ashour said.
The newspaper added, quoting private sources, that Al-Ittihad Club opened negotiations with the Egyptian Al Ahly to discuss the possibility of contracting with Imam Ashour during the current transfer period, and submitted an initial offer worth 6 million dollars to the club, in addition to an annual salary for the player reaching 4 million dollars.
Al Ahly Egyptian rejected the offer, insisting on obtaining a higher financial compensation.
The Saudi newspaper continued that Imam Ashour currently receives an annual salary of 315 thousand dollars from Al Ahly Club.
The Saudi newspaper indicated that Marwan Attia entered within Al-Ittihad's interests, following the start of negotiations with Imam Ashour, as the players' agent, who manages their files, presented his name to the Saudi club to consider the possibility of contracting with him.
According to what the Saudi newspaper published, Al Ahly received an offer worth 3.5 million dollars to dispense with Attia, in addition to an annual salary for the player amounting to 2.5 million dollars, at a time when he receives about 257 thousand dollars with his club.
According to the source to the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiya, the chances of Attia leaving the Egyptian Al Ahly seem difficult during the current period, despite the offer submitted.
