Renowned journalist David Ornstein from The Athletic revealed that Manchester City has reached an agreement with Lille's management to sign young talent Ayyoub Bouaddi during the current summer transfer window.
Manchester City is linked with signing Bouaddi this summer, as the Citizens seek to recruit a midfielder to compensate for Rodri's departure after he joined Barcelona for over €70 million.
Manchester City is undergoing a transitional phase, having also lost Bernardo Silva, who did not renew his contract with the English club and signed with Real Madrid on a free transfer.

Ornstein confirmed in statements reported by "City Xtra" that negotiations between Manchester City and Lille regarding Bouaddi are currently suspended, as the Sky Blues have not yet met the price demanded by the French club to sell the 18-year-old.
He added that Manchester City's management has made significant efforts to sign Bouaddi, and the Moroccan international might eventually join the Etihad Stadium, but so far no final agreement has been reached with Lille.
Bouaddi is considered one of the most prominent young midfield talents in European leagues, and the player was widely discussed during the World Cup tournament held in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Bouaddi played a major role in helping the Moroccan national team reach the World Cup quarter-finals before losing 2-0 to France.
Ayyoub Bouaddi's transfer fee to Manchester City is expected to reach €100 million.
