Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam announced the signing of Moroccan star Sofyan Amrabat on a free transfer during the ongoing summer transfer window.
The defensive midfielder signed a two-year contract with the Dutch club, valid until June 30, 2028.
Amrabat joined Ajax on a free transfer after previously reaching an agreement with his former club, Turkish side Fenerbahce, to mutually terminate their contract.
Amrabat began his professional career with Utrecht and later played for Feyenoord before moving abroad.
He subsequently represented Club Brugge (Belgium), Hellas Verona (Italy), Fiorentina (Italy), Manchester United (England), and Fenerbahce (Turkey).
Last season, the 30-year-old played for Spanish side Real Betis.
The experienced international recently participated in the World Cup for the third time with the Moroccan national team.
