Al-Qadsia Club announced on Friday evening that its Portuguese player, Otávio, has joined Qatar's Al-Rayyan team during the current summer transfer window.
The official page of Al-Qadsia Club, via its official "X" platform, reported that the Al-Qadsia Company approved Otávio's departure on loan with a mandatory purchase obligation.
The 31-year-old had joined Al-Qadsia last summer on a free transfer after terminating his contract with Al-Nassr.
Otávio had previously moved to Al-Nassr in the summer of 2023 from Porto in a major financial deal estimated at €60 million, according to the global platform "Transfermarkt".
Otávio played 84 matches for Al-Nassr across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing 16 assists.
With Al-Qadsia, he participated in 21 matches, providing three assists without scoring any goals.
Otávio's departure came after Al-Qadsia's management signed the Dutch player Tijjani Reijnders from Manchester City this summer.
It is worth noting that Al-Qadsia currently holds third place in the Saudi Roshn League standings with 12 points from five matches.
