Former Nigerian football star John Obi Mikel spoke about the transfer of Egypt national team winger Mohamed Salah to Trabzonspor during the current summer transfer window, explaining that the Egyptian international will play for a very big club.
Trabzonspor succeeded in signing Mohamed Salah for free, following the departure of the Egyptian Pharaoh from Liverpool at the end of last season, in a contract extending for two seasons.
Trabzonspor hopes that Mohamed Salah will lead the team to win titles and claim the Turkish league, which has been absent from the club's trophy cabinet since the 2021/2022 season.

Obi Mikel admitted in statements reported by the Turkish newspaper "Sabah" that Mohamed Salah's transfer to Trabzonspor is different from any deal the Turkish club has made before.
Obi Mikel said: "Trabzonspor issues an official statement with every deal it makes, and fans head to the airport to welcome the new player, but with Mohamed Salah it was different."
He added: "Thousands of fans were at the airport to welcome Mohamed Salah. I know the value of Trabzonspor well; it is a very big club with wonderful fans. I hope things go well for Mohamed Salah and his family."
Obi Mikel knows Trabzonspor well, having played for the Turkish team for one year before leaving in 2020.
Mohamed Salah hopes to make history again in his football career, this time in Turkey with Trabzonspor, after doing so for nine seasons with Liverpool, and also at the international level with the Egypt national team.
