Trabzonspor issued an official statement regarding the team's head coach, Fatih Tekke, following yesterday's loss against Amed Sportif in the Turkish Football League.
Trabzonspor played their third-round league match against Amed Sportif at the latter's home ground, suffering a 2-1 defeat.
Yesterday's loss for Trabzonspor came after failing to qualify for the Europa League following a 4-0 defeat against Ferencváros last Thursday in the second leg of the qualifying playoff.
Following Thursday's match, Fatih Tekke announced his resignation, which was initially rejected by Trabzonspor's management, who insisted on retaining his services. However, everything changed today when the club issued an official statement announcing his departure.

Trabzonspor stated in their official announcement: "Our vice-president met with our head coach, Fatih Tekke, to comprehensively evaluate the current situation and the future of our team. Based on these discussions, we reached a mutual agreement to terminate the coach's contract in alignment with Trabzonspor's interests and future objectives."
The statement added: "During Fatih Tekke's 18-month tenure, he added significant value to our club. Beyond his contributions to developing players who joined the team during this period, he achieved important gains both sporting and economic, etching his name in Trabzonspor's history by winning the Turkish Cup."
It continued: "We reached a mutual understanding with our coach at this stage, who confirmed that he could not accept remaining in any capacity due to the potential harm it might cause the club. The agreement centered on the necessity of establishing a new action plan that places the club's interests above all else."
The statement concluded: "We extend our deepest gratitude to our coach for his efforts, continuous work, achievements, and the value he added to the club. We wish him success in his future football career."
