Egypt national team captain Mohamed Salah expressed his happiness at the team's reception and honoring by President of the Republic Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Salah said during the President's invitation to the Egyptian national team for lunch: "I thank His Excellency the President for his continuous support for us through his constant remarks about the Egypt national team, and there is no greater honor than receiving thanks from the President of Egypt".
He added, "I thank the players and tell them that this is the beginning of the return of the Egypt national team's name to global forums; we will not fall short in serving the fans and we hope to continue this and achieve titles with the technical staff led by Hossam Hassan and also Engineer Hani Abu Rida".
President El-Sisi received the Egypt national team this morning at the presidential palace in Alamein to honor the Pharaohs after their return from the World Cup.
President El-Sisi awarded the First Class Sports Medal to all members of the Egypt national team delegation in recognition of their efforts.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi also made sure to extend an invitation to the team to have lunch with him in honor of what they achieved at the World Cup.
