Mohamed El-Shenawy speaks about the participation of the Egyptian national team in the World Cup

Mohamed El-Shenawy, the goalkeeper of the Egyptian national team, spoke about the Pharaohs' participation in the 2026 World Cup.

The Egyptian national team bid farewell to the 2026 World Cup, after the defeat against Argentina, with a score of 3-2, on Tuesday evening, within the round of 16 matches of the 2026 World Cup.

Mohamed El-Shenawy said in statements during the Egyptian national team players having lunch with President Sisi, today Saturday: "God willing, the next one will be better, Mohamed Salah, Omar Marmoush, and Mohamed Abdelmonem play in Europe"

He added: "We can play at this level (Europe), I thank Hossam Hassan and the medical and administrative staff of the Egyptian national team, we hope to qualify for the World Cup every 4 years".

It is worth noting that the Egyptian national team returned to Cairo yesterday, Friday, following the end of the Pharaohs' journey in the 2026 World Cup.

The 2026 World Cup is held in the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico, during the period from June 11 to July 19.
