Kylian Mbappé was injured before the start of the last quarter-hour of the match, which forced Didier Deschamps, the team's technical director, to substitute him for the player, Jean-Philippe Mateta.
Kylian Mbappé said in statements to beIN Sports channel: "I am fine, I received a blow to the ankle, but my condition is good.. At that moment, Jean-Philippe Mateta was more ready than me to play the last 15 minutes, so he came in instead of me, and he was also close to scoring a goal".
Regarding the French national team's mission in the World Cup, he said: "I don't know.. There is no room for laxity, there is still a long road ahead of us, and what awaits us will be more difficult, but we will recover well".
Regarding his teammate Achraf Hakimi's sadness, the Moroccan star after the match, he said: "There is no place for emotions inside the pitch.. I was here to win, and he was also here to win".
