Press reports this morning confirmed that Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli has agreed to complete his transfer from English club Arsenal to Saudi club Al-Hilal during the ongoing summer transfer window.
Reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano wrote on his X account: “We have learned that Gabriel Martinelli has given the green light to move to Al-Hilal, and contracts are currently being reviewed.”
He continued: “Al-Hilal and Arsenal are finalizing negotiations on a deal worth over €65 million, having reached the final stages.”
He concluded: “Martinelli’s medical examination will be scheduled soon.”
Martinelli won the Premier League title last season with the Gunners, but he has been left out of manager Mikel Arteta’s plans, especially after the signing of Greek winger Christos Tzolis in the summer transfer window.
