Enzo Maresca, the technical director of the English club Manchester City, announced the list of the team traveling to Asia to undergo the preparatory camp before the start of the new 2026-2027 season.
The team departs Manchester today, Tuesday, on a trip to play three matches in Hong Kong and Seoul as preparations intensify for the 2026/27 season.
Manchester City will face Inter Milan in Hong Kong next Saturday, before playing against the Korean League All-Stars and Atlético Madrid in the South Korean capital on Wednesday and Sunday of next week.
Marmoush's absence
The list saw the absence of the Egyptian star Omar Marmoush, the team's player, after his participation with the Egypt national team in the 2026 World Cup.
Manchester City explained in its statement: "Due to the holding of the World Cup this summer, a number of first-team players who reached the quarterfinals or beyond in the tournament will not travel to participate in the English team's preparatory tour for the new season, due to the rest period required for them before the start of the new Premier League season."
It added: "A small number of players who reached the round of 16 will join part of the tour, but they will not be part of the team departing from Manchester today."
