The International Football Association announced the appointment of an Egyptian refereeing crew led by referee Amin Omar to manage the match between Jeddah Al-Ahli and New Zealand's Auckland City within the competitions of the Intercontinental Cup.
The two teams will meet at Al-Inma Stadium in the Saudi city of Jeddah on August 26 next.
The Egyptian crew includes international referee Amin Omar as the field referee, assisted by assistant referees Mahmoud Abu Al-Rijal and Ahmed Hossam Taha, while Mahmoud Naji assumes the role of the fourth referee.
And in video technology, Mahmoud Ashour will be the video referee and Tarek Magdy will assist him.
The selection of the Egyptian crew to manage this important confrontation comes within a series of international assignments obtained led by Amin Omar in recent years, after presenting distinguished levels in continental and international tournaments, which strengthened his position among the most prominent referees in Africa and Asia.
Amin Omar managed two matches in the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.
They were the match of South Korea against the Czech Republic, and the meeting of Argentina against Austria.
