Real Madrid player Fran García is close to joining Real Betis during the current summer transfer window, according to the Spanish newspaper Marca.

Negotiations between Real Betis and Real Madrid have reached their final stages, as the Andalusian club seeks to complete the deal in a manner that fits its salary cap.
Real Betis had contacted Real Madrid more than a month ago to inquire about the terms for signing Fran García, at which time the Royal Club requested around 10 million euros for 100% of the player's rights, despite only one year remaining on his contract.
According to Marca, the current negotiations are heading toward Real Betis acquiring 50% of the player's economic rights for a total value slightly less than the initially requested amount, along with some bonuses and variables tied to the player's performance.
For his part, Fran García played an important role in facilitating the negotiations between the two clubs, after expressing his desire to move to Real Betis, which will participate in the UEFA Champions League next season, considering it one of the best available options for his future.
If things proceed as planned, the deal is expected to be finalized within the next few hours, with the player arriving in Seville to sign a four-season contract with the Andalusian team.
Fran García is seeking to complete his transfer procedures quickly in order to join the preseason training camp, which began today in Germany under coach Manuel Pellegrini and will continue until next Saturday.
Betis is looking to compensate for the departure of Ricardo González, whose contract with the team has ended.
The 26-year-old García has so far played 109 matches for Real Madrid, scoring 3 goals and providing 13 assists.
