Manchester City Club announced in an official statement on its website the signing of the young winger Jeremy Monga, coming from Leicester City.

Manchester City Club said in an official statement: "The young English international player, who turned 17 years old yesterday, joined the club with a contract extending for five years until the summer of 2031".

And he added: "Monga began developing his skills at Leicester City's academy since the under-9 team".

The website highlighted that Monga was the youngest player to get playing minutes in the English Premier League, after participating in 7 matches in the league in the 2024-2025 season.

Monga commented on his joining Manchester City, saying: "When I learned that Manchester City was interested in me, I immediately knew that this was the right choice for me".

And he added: "For any young football player, joining this wonderful club is a dream come true".

And he concluded: "This has been the best club in England over the past ten years, and it has given opportunities to academy players like Phil Foden and Nico O'Reilly, which indicates that the path exists".
