The scene is changing in Madrid: Is the Alvarez deal saga over?

Via Kooora

Argentine Atlético Madrid forward Julián Álvarez is preparing to return to team training after completing an individual session on Saturday morning at the "Cerro" training ground, while his teammates traveled to Seville, amid ongoing uncertainty about his future just hours before the summer transfer window closes.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca," Álvarez trained for the second consecutive day with one of the club's fitness coaches after missing Wednesday's and Thursday's sessions due to illness. He is expected to join the group for the next training session, scheduled for Sunday.

The Argentine striker's return to training comes at a time when his move to Barcelona has become nearly impossible, as the player has accepted the difficulty of fulfilling his dream of joining the Catalan club next season, with the transfer deadline set to close on Tuesday evening.

Despite his recovery and return to his normal routine, the developments have not definitively settled Álvarez's position. The player remains unconvinced about returning to the English Premier League, despite interest from Arsenal and Manchester City in signing him, making staying at Atlético the most realistic option at this time.

Atlético Madrid wants to have its forward back at full physical and technical fitness. Therefore, the club does not want to waste any more time given the possibility of him remaining in the squad, while Álvarez continues to maintain his stance against moving to England and his insistence on Barcelona as his preferred destination.

With the transfer deadline approaching, Álvarez remains an Atlético Madrid player for now, awaiting a final decision on his future in the coming days.
