Liverpool's announcement date for Araujo deal from Barcelona

Via Yallakora

Liverpool Club has reached an agreement with Barcelona officials to sign the Uruguayan international defender Ronald Araujo in the current summer transfer window.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed via his page on the "X" platform that Liverpool Club reached an agreement to sign the 27-year-old on loan, with a clause allowing the English club to sign Araujo permanently.

Date of announcing the deal

A source at Barcelona Club said in exclusive statements via "Yalla Koura", today Monday, that the deal is in its final stages, as the deal is expected to be announced today.

In the past few days, the Uruguayan player traveled to England to undergo medical examinations, as press reports mentioned that the player successfully passed the medical tests.

The goal of signing Araujo is to strengthen the defensive side of the Liverpool team, in addition to the player's ability to participate in the right-back position, which the English club is also suffering from.

Liverpool is currently suffering from the nightmare of injuries in the defensive line, in addition to the absence of right-back Conor Bradley due to the injury he sustained in the Arsenal match last season.

In contrast, Araujo is looking for regular participation, especially since the player found himself out of the calculations of German coach Hans Flick.

Araujo has 213 appearances with Barcelona in all competitions, scoring 14 goals, and making 7 assists, according to the global "Transfermarkt" website.
