A responsible source in Al Ahly Club revealed the truth about the club concluding the deal for Peter Korkis, the Iraqi Dohuk player, to join the Red Giant starting from next season.
The source said in exclusive statements to Yalla Koura: "Peter Korkis was offered to Al Ahly Club, but we did not enter into negotiations with the player."
The source added: "Everything being circulated about Al Ahly concluding the deal and signing the player starting from next season is completely untrue."
Al Ahly is searching for many players to fully support the team's lines during the ongoing summer transfer window, following the departure of some players, most notably Dieng, in addition to the imminent departure of Trézéguet to Saudi Riyadh.
Al Ahly had announced the signing of Enppi's duo Mahmoud and Oktay Abdullah to participate with the team starting from next season, as the Red Giant continues to intensify its search for signing new players as well.
Al Ahly's name has been linked to many players according to some reports, most notably Jordanian national team striker Ali Alwan, alongside Moroccan Sofiane Benjdida.
A source confirmed in previous statements to Yalla Koura that Al Ahly has allocated a huge amount reaching 5 million dollars to conclude two foreign deals, so if negotiations proceed well with any duo from this quartet, this amount will go to the new attacking reinforcement.
