The French player said via TF1 channel: "Paul Pogba has always been my idol and role model, and he still is to this day. I made sure to follow and watch him all the time."
He added, "I am extremely happy playing alongside Virgil van Dijk. Partnering with him in defense is truly exceptional when you realize the value and status of the defender playing next to you. Very few defenders have reached his level."
Jacque moved to Liverpool during the last summer transfer window from Rennes for 63 million euros.
The 21-year-old player participated in 7 matches with Liverpool during the current season.
Jacque plays with the France national team under the leadership of Zinedine Zidane during the current international break.
He played full matches against Belgium and Italy, while he did not play against Turkey in the UEFA Nations League.
