Zinedine Zidane, the coach of the French national team, confirmed that he will make some changes in the match against Belgium, praising the career of Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese national team player.

The French national team will face its Belgian counterpart on Monday evening, as part of the fourth round of the group stage in the UEFA Nations League.

France tops the standings of Group 1 in League A of the UEFA Nations League with 7 points, followed by Belgium with 6 points.

Zidane's statements

Zidane said during the pre-match press conference: "There will be changes; we must not do anything randomly."

He added: "It was great to be with my players. I feel a bit frustrated because it is coming to an end. The players have performed well."

He continued: "I may not say certain things, but I try to be as honest as possible about what I want to convey. I know it will take time."

He completed: "I think Belgium played very well. They made things difficult for us tactically, but we managed to win. I watched the match against Turkey; they can make things difficult for any team."

Zidane spoke about the issue concerning Ronaldo, saying: "We must acknowledge Ronaldo's wonderful career. I was lucky to have him with me."

The French coach concluded: "He helped me win many titles. Respect to Cristiano. I have always held deep respect for those I spent time with."
