Dr. Mohamed Raef, Chairman of Ismaily SC's Board of Directors, addressed the situation of Ashraf Khadr, head coach of the club's first football team, following reports that he had submitted his resignation from the post.
Ismaily suffered their second consecutive defeat in the Professional League yesterday, Friday, losing 2-0 to Telecom Egypt.
The club had previously lost their opening match against Masr with a score of 3-1.
In exclusive statements to "Yalla Kora," Mohamed Raef said: "As of now, Ashraf Khadr's resignation as head coach has not been received by the Board of Directors."
He added: "A meeting of the club's Board of Directors will be held this evening. If Ashraf Khadr submits his resignation, we will examine the reasons behind it and then take the appropriate decision that serves the best interests of both the team and the club."
He continued: "Should Ashraf Khadr submit his resignation and leave the team, we will certainly seek a new technical staff to lead Al-Darawish in the upcoming phase, with our primary goal being the overall benefit of the team and the club."
Ismaily is preparing to play their third-round Professional League match against Al-Nasr at 4:30 PM next Friday.
