Mohamed Raief, head of the committee tasked with managing Ismaily SC, announced on Saturday evening the acceptance of Ashraf Khedr's resignation as head coach of the first football team, following his recent conflict with fans. He also revealed potential replacements and addressed the club's stance on the proposed merger initiative.
In televised remarks on "ON E" channel, Raief stated: "Ashraf Khedr submitted his resignation from coaching Ismaily Club, and we accepted his withdrawal. He indicated he would be unable to continue the mission, especially after an exchange of heated words occurred between him and the fans during the last match, where the crowd targeted him personally."
Regarding Khedr's replacement, Raief said: "We are waiting 24 hours before announcing the name of Ismaily's new head coach. Candidates include both internal and external figures; Amir Azmy Megahed and Khaled Galal are among the names under consideration."

When asked whether Ismaily needs the merger idea, he replied: "This file has been closed for some time. Neither Ismaily Club nor its fans see this project as beneficial for the club, although it might suit other clubs."
He concluded his statements by saying: "We welcome any company interested in investing in Ismaily Club. We will continue competing in the Professional League and, God willing, achieve promotion from it."
