Saudi press reports revealed on Sunday that Saudi club Al-Ittihad received an offer from officials of Italian Inter to sign French winger Moussa Diaby during the summer transfer window.
According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiya", Inter presented a financial offer worth 18 million euros, in addition to the transfer of Albanian midfielder Christian Asllani of the Nerazzurri.
Al-Riyadiya indicated that Al-Ittihad's management is still studying the offer from the Italian club amid internal discussions to reach a final decision, given Diaby's technical importance.
The Italian league champions attempted to secure the services of the 27-year-old, but the deal did not materialize due to the player's importance within Al-Ameed's fortress.
Diaby joined Al-Ameed from Aston Villa in the summer of 2024 in a deal worth 60 million euros, according to Transfermarkt.
Diaby helped the western club win the Saudi Roshn League and King's Cup titles in the 2024-2025 season.
Al-Ittihad is currently preparing to face Emirati side Al-Jazira on August 11 in the AFC Champions League Elite playoff.
