The new season of the Saudi League "Roshn League" 2026-2027 kicks off today, Thursday, with 18 teams competing over 34 rounds for a total of 306 matches in a season that runs until May 29, 2027.
The Saudi League Association had announced the full schedule for the season on July 24, after taking into account the density of international, continental and local participations of Saudi clubs, in addition to the Kingdom hosting the 2027 Asian Cup.
The first round features 9 matches over 3 days, starting today, Thursday, August 13, and concluding on Saturday, August 15, according to the official schedule announced by the Saudi Professional League Association.
The opening round includes several notable encounters, most notably the appearance of defending champions Al-Nassr against Al-Fateh, while Al-Hilal begins its campaign against Al-Faisaly, and Al-Ahli plays its first match against newly promoted Al-Diriyah.
The round opens with Abha facing Al-Hazem at 7:15 p.m. today, Thursday, while Al-Diriyah meets Al-Ahli, and Al-Shabab faces Al-Qadsiah at 9:00 p.m.
