The Egyptian Football Association, headed by Hani Abu Rida, announced that it had received a congratulatory telegram from Gianni Infantino, President of the International Federation of Association Football "FIFA", on the occasion of the birthday of Wael Gomaa, former Egypt national team and Al Ahly star, and current director of football at the Red Castle.
In the telegram he sent today, Monday, August 3, 2026, Infantino expressed his sincere congratulations to Wael Gomaa, wishing him happiness, health, and continued success on both the personal and professional levels.
