Hossam Hassan, the coach of the Egyptian national team, expressed his happiness with the return of Hamdi Fathi in the match against Australia.

Hamdi Fathi is in the starting lineup for the Egyptian national team against Australia.
Hamdi Fathi had missed Egypt's last match against Iran in the third round of the group stage.
The Egyptian national team qualified for the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup as the second in Group G with 5 points, only on goal difference from Belgium, the leader.
