The Greek club Olympiacos announced its official signing of the Egyptian goalkeeper Karim Hindawi, to join the ranks of the men's handball team in preparation for the new season.
The Greek club published an official statement in which it announced Hindawi's signing of his new contract, confirming the joining of the Egyptian international goalkeeper to the team's roster.
Olympiacos described its new goalkeeper as one of the most prominent handball players in Egypt's history, pointing to his rich career and great experience in the European Handball Champions League, in addition to his participations in major international tournaments with the Egyptian national team, as well as playing in some of the strongest European leagues.
Karim Hindawi has a long international career with the Egyptian national team, having participated in several editions of the World Championship, and was one of the elements of the team that won the African Nations Cup title more than once, as well as contributing to the Pharaohs achieving seventh place in the 2021 World Championship, which is the best position achieved by the Egyptian national team in the history of its participations in the World Cup.
Hindawi has previously played professionally in several clubs outside Egypt, most notably Beşiktaş, Dobrogea Sud Constanța of Romania, Eurofarm of Macedonia, and VfL of Germany.
Hindawi's last stop was with the Libyan Union team.
