The International Handball Federation announced the participating teams in the 2026 Club World Cup.
Egypt is hosting the Club World Cup competitions during next September.
The current edition witnesses the participation of the Egyptian duo Al Ahly and Zamalek.
Al Ahly plays as the league champion as the host of the tournament, while Zamalek participates with the invitation card.
While the Moroccan Forum Darb Sultan represents the African continent after the cancellation of the Super following Al Ahly's withdrawal to hold the tournament in the Democratic Congo amid Ebola virus threats.
The participating teams came as follows:
- Al Ahly of Egypt - Tournament host
- Barcelona of Spain - Title holder
- Füchse Berlin of Germany - European champion
- Forum Darb Sultan of Morocco - Representative of Africa
- Burgan of Kuwait - Asian champion
- Pinheiros of Brazil - South American champion
- University of Sydney of Australia - Representative of Oceania
- The North American champion will be determined this July
- Zamalek of Egypt - First Wild Card invitation
- Veszprém of Hungary - Second Wild Card invitation
