Oman national team head coach Tariq Sektioui emphasized that nothing is impossible in football.

The Oman national team is preparing to face the United Arab Emirates in the semi-finals of the Gulf Cup (Khaleeji 27) tomorrow, Saturday, in the tournament held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Moroccan head coach said at the press conference: "Our preparations are as usual, in a healthy atmosphere with a lot of focus, responsibility, desire, and emphasis on the physical and mental aspects. Today we have our last training session, and we want to achieve victory tomorrow, which will give us moral motivation before the final."

He continued, "Everyone expected Oman to be eliminated, but I have great experience as a coach and I say that nothing is impossible in football. I take responsibility for criticism and do not direct it towards the respected players. In difficulties, much strength emerges, and there are many young players who need patience and support; they have a future ahead of them."

He clarified, "The Omani national team benefits from this tournament and appears more prominently despite the difficulties. I say that the Omani national team is growing in this tournament."

He added, "The Omani national team is known in the Gulf and Asia. It came through planning, not by chance, but over years to build a team for the future, and it has reached maturity."

He completed, "I faced the UAE national team in the Arab Cup and I know the UAE league."

He concluded, "The current UAE national team is not the same as before; it has witnessed significant changes, even in the technical staff. They benefited in the previous match by rotating players to prepare for the semi-final."

The UAE national team qualified for the final four by topping Group A on goal difference ahead of Qatar, while the draw determined Oman's qualification after they tied with Iraq in all criteria at the end of the group stage.

The match between the UAE and Oman will be played after the conclusion of the Saudi Arabia vs. Qatar match tomorrow, Saturday, to determine the two finalists of the 27th edition of the Gulf Cup.
